For over 20 years, my practice has been restricted to advocacy for people who have suffered life-altering harms, including serious injuries, birth trauma, loss of a loved one, and more recently, privacy and human rights violations. The three principles of my practice are “Service, Integrity, Results”.
I am honoured to be regularly selected by my peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in Canada in the field of Personal Injury Litigation, as well as being Lexpert Ranked as Consistently Recommended as a leading practitioner of the Personal Injury Bar. I am also a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation. Other recognition includes the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Women’s Caucus Award (2011) and the American Association for Justice International Trial Lawyer Leadership Award (2010).
I have a strong belief in giving back both to the profession and the community. I am a Past President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (2009-10); a former Governor on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice (2006-2013); past director for the Advocates Society (2012-2015); and a frequent speaker in the areas of personal injury litigation, advocacy and practice management at various legal associations in Canada and the United States. As part of my community involvement, I am a cycling advocate and Past Chair of the Share the Road Cycling Coalition of Ontario. Over the years I have also been involved in many community organizations.
When I am not advocating for my clients, you might find me out cycling, heading to the opera or a classical music concert, or doing photography with my two retired racing greyhounds, Rene and Bryn, at my side.
